This project started by exploring the work of the Italian architect Enzo Mari with a focus on his autoprogettazione? furniture and book project of 1974. With the philosophy of the book that free designs of furniture can be built with only a few tools, simple materials, and basic skills, such as measuring, cutting, and hammering, the project took up the charge and re-designed the sedia chair from autoprogettazione? again and built a redesigned chair with a sequence of processes:

By rapid modeling on Rhino digitally, I tested out the possible translation of the original Enzo Mari’s sedia chair. The idea is to keep the main form and structural intricacy of the original one and transformed it into a designed interpretation.
