This high-rise project is the transformation of the façade
from the class Lake Shore Drive Residential in Chicago. The formal languages
that the massing gestured resonates the site condition. It aims to explore the
structural iterations of facade skin system and creating poetic atmosphere in
the dynamic urban context with this new program on the original grid system.

By developing a complex set of massing strategies with a conceptual framework, the project defines and invents dynamic based architectural proposals within an urban context.
Skin Study as Variation, 3D Print
Through digital modeling and modifying architectural strategies, the project is aimed to develop a transformational condition of a new emerging design. The architectural forms are to be modeled and physically output through CADCAM (laser cutting) and Rapid Prototyping (3D Printing).
The final prototyped models are not merely a visual presentation of the design, but the solid state of the structural, tectonic and spatial investigations of design as a built environment.
